How FileSaurus compares

Three comparisons, written for someone who already uses the other tool every day — which means each one says where the other product wins, because a comparison page without that section is an advert with a table in it.

The rules these pages are written to

Comparison pages have a bad reputation and mostly deserve it. These follow two rules meant to make them worth your time instead.

The first is that you will not find another product’s seat price, storage tier or free-plan cap quoted here. Those change without telling us, and a page repeating last quarter’s figure is both useless to you and unfair to them. We compare how a product is sold and what it is built to do, which changes far more slowly, and each page is dated so you can see when it was last checked.

The second is that each page says where the other product wins. Frame.io’s Camera to Cloud and its Premiere panels have no equivalent here. Replay sits on the Dropbox you already pay for. WeTransfer is genuinely the right answer for sending one file to one person once. You would find all of that out in week one, and a page that hid it would have wasted your week. The same instinct runs through our security page, which states the two real limits of what we protect as plainly as the protections.

Two questions that settle it faster than any table

Where does the work actually get stuck? If it jams between you and your team — internal rounds, shared projects, footage coming off the camera — you want a production platform, and Frame.io is very good at being one. If it jams between you and a client, you are paying team-tool prices for a handoff problem.

And what happens after the client says yes? Every tool on this page can carry a note on a frame. Only one of them puts the invoice on the same page and holds the finals until it is paid.
